okay, okay
I think I'm the only one who hasn't updated recently, and I will.
Despite the stress and exhaustion of life in general, my father has decided to run for member of parliament currently. His life (not mine) has become very, very busy. He's actually seeking the nomination right now, meaning that before he can run against other parties he has to run against other conservatives. There is a decent chance that he will win -- oh, and the riding is Richmond.
My last day of school was two fridays ago, and my last day of work was last tuesday. My last sunday school was sunday. It's a week of lasts, which is exciting and terrifying all at once.
I've been finding myself more and more on the slippery slope of angry political opinions, and now that the liberals and conservatives are at loggerheads I find it difficult to remain both subtle and silent. I'm not going to rant - only to say this: if the liberals get in this term, I will either become a political activist or leave Canada. Maybe I'd go back to Africa. Who knows? But personally, I think the reasons to vote liberal this time around are all truncated by this ONE fact. this ENORMOUS fact. They stole millions. And we as a people have to teach them that they CANNOT use us as a carpet. That we -- as a nation -- have higher standards than those who promise us everything and give us nothing.
