If the stupid World Series isn't on...
...I should no longer be deprived of my new favourite TV show ^_^ Yay repeat of the TJ episode. Yay that glorious shot where Ryan is lifting the unconsious Marissa under the streetlamp in the alleyway. Yay for the brilliant casting people who hired him.
Today it is sunny. Today it is wonderful. Today is my last day before the weekend-! The only benefit of working here is that I can take a day off here and there...

So I know you're dying to know...
...how my first class of Tae Kwon Do went. Well, i will not keep you in suspense. I LOVE IT. We played capture the flag for awhile, then i learned my first self defense stuff. Oh. My. Goodness. I love it. True, I'm the oldest person in the class but that's okay. Ligwa - you would adore this stuff. Besides - it ups my productivity quite a bit...and i don't feel like such a lump for sitting there. I should be able to get up one belt level before i leave the county (which i am, from here on out, calling the Exodus.) THen I won't just be a wimpy white belt -- I'll be a wimpy yellow belt! Joy!

...I really can't tell if this is sarcasm or not. I really can't. So if anybody wants to join, guys, it FULLY KICKS ASS!

Ooh. Not 'Focus Friendly' language. SO I'd better go before someone reads it overmy shoulder...ta

So Yesterday
I was surfing thenet and I realized something: I have been without The O.C. for over a month now. And that bothers me, because how could I let poor Benjamin McKenzie just drop out of my life like that? I'm truly, deeply horrified. There's the cutest picture of him on ocfan.blogspot.com, but he's with Micha Barton (Coop), which makes me sad. :'( lol
You'd think that a better script idea would be tonot have any of the characters pair off. I mean, the girls watch it for Set/Ryan and the guys watch it for Summer/Marissa. So, logically...actually, the plot for the 'teens' is weak. But the subplot of the adults is wonderful.
But anyway, we all know about my bizarre love for that puppy-eyed man.

Sadly enough...
That was all i have to say. Except that i got to go in late to wrok today, which meant that i got to sleep until 8:30. Sometimes life is grand, isn't it? Plus i have oatmeal cookies in my lunch, which i can't wait to eat.

Never, EVER turn down cookies.

It's not exactly sunshine...but I'll take it!
Yeah. It's still icky out...but at least there is no rain. YES! I'm tired of driving in the rotten, rotten rain. Alliteration. I get to work this morning and find a pad of paper on my desk. No idea where it came from - no idea if anybody is out there *searching* for the wayward paper...They can't have it! It's mine!
...I REALLY can't wait to leave the country. When i find myself thrilled at the prospect of a new (small) pad of paper...i think that says something right there.

Question!
Anybody wanna join Tae Kwon Do with me? Anybody? The first class is free (the first two weeks are, apperantly), as is the uniform if you join. Looks like it'll be fun. I'm still gonna go if nobody wants to come...i'd just rather have someone my own age there.

It's disconcerting knowing you can get your ass kicked by a six year old (though in fact, if it should come to that i think i could just step on him/make sure i fall on him...)

Yesterday I was spiral binding some manuals when the machine breaks. ANd i'm sitting there looking at it, going 'awww, fuck. First i ruin some manuals, then i break the machine...' turns out it wasn't my fault. good good good good good. Anyhoo...today I spend more time stapling/folding. There's this pile of papers on my desk that is about eight feet high. I wish my cubicle walls were higher. Then i'd, well, have *almost* an office.

*sighs* Ohhh the wishes of an average, working peon...

9 1/2 weeks and counting.

Thunder only happens when it's raining....
I wonder how many snazzy 'rain' titles I can come up with. I suppose I only need somwhere in the area of 60 --> as I am leaving the country in a couple of months.
I blieve Friday will be my big 'applying to University' day. I'm gonna ask for it off, as I can't do that here, and I don't want to work on Fri. I already know where i want to go, but I thought I'd apply to any number of them, Just in case. 'keep my doors open' as my wonderful father would say. I'm enjoying this year of hiatus, and I really love having cash (deep inside I'm dreading the time when i'll have to be a starving student. I like food WAY too much to starve.)

Friday
Was fully rotten. The work was hell, the drive home took me on like, seven different routes, and even then the road that goes past East Delta Hall was STILL flooded. Fortunately that was the other lane, not mine. I also almost got slammed into by any number of hydroplaning/skidding cars. That weas mildly unpleasant. It took (with detours) an hour and a half for me to get home, where i didn't get dinner but DID manage to find time to shower before having to go to a Pre-Youth event at the church. Now THAT was fun. Seriously - I LOVE those kids, though why I enjoyed spending time with fifteen screaming rugrats is beyond me...oh wait, i know. It reminded me of High School. We wound up turning off the lights and playing Hide-and-go-Seek in the dark. Fully RULED - though no building is quite as scary in the dark as a Church. Something about the high ceilings and many rows of pews. Next month we're doing lazer tag. Yes - arm the children with fake guns and try to expect them not to run.

Such a flawed system.

And so...
Another work week begins. Another day...another dollar. Back to the grind....
