The Many Joys of a Sunburn
Okay. So there are very FEW joys to a sunburn...but the fact that i can get one says enough. : D I'm warm and content (when actually I'm ravenously hungry and freezing cold in the airconditioning) and YOU Vancouverites/Cardiffians are stuck in the RAIN. MWAHAHAHAH.

sorry. THe hunger is making me go all wonky. Barb (my boss lady) is having me print out sheets. and because the printer is taking so LONG...here i am. Ready to update.
I'm sorry if I've been neglecting you on the email front - I've been running a little short on time. But. I PROMISE that as soon as i can (which should be in the next couple of days) i will send you a long, interesting email FULL of love. Just expect one from sarahr@fotf.co.za and we'll be set!
In reality i don't have THAT much news. I mean, the weather has been rainy-ish, (except for yesterday where it was 30 degrees outside. Judy (my 'mother' in South Africa) kidnapped me from work and we went to the beach. I think i could get used to louging on the beach for three hours in the afternoon. Of course, the pain that now spans my nose, cheeks and shoulders...knows very few bounds. So i keep pressing my cold fingers onto the bridge of my nose in a vain attempt at relief. sometimes i'm a fool. The celt in me says 'stay out of the sun! you'll FRY!' but the vain part of me that the western world has cultivated says 'pshhht. so WHAT if you die young of skin cancer? You'll look GREAT once the peeling finishes!' I guess we can see which side won.
I've begun my shopping. Haven't BOUGHT anything yet...but have begun to search. i have a few ideas (anybody want some Zulu beads?) -- but nothing concrete and physical. : ) It's okay. i've got a little while, yet.
and so. i can't think of much else to say, other than...if you want something specific from SA speak now or forever hold your peace. (Some of you truly have NO say. Like Lisa, who gets both a birthday/souvenir from here) Everything is at least MODERATELY cheap, and I'll do my best to find it for you!
