Give her the wings to fly...
Ah Paul Simon. You just can't go wrong with Paul Simon.
but no, my weekend was long and eventful. I'll relate a little bit of it to you...the parts i remember. Friday and Saturday were spent in a state of blissful vegetation. I was muchly pleased. I watched TWO Ben Affleck movies in two days -- a record since the fourth grade when our teacher made us all sit through the Voyage of the Mimi. Daredevil was good -- Ben had good hair in that, and there is something about a superhero movie that I enjoy. Pearl Harbour was a different story. It was good, but I seem to recall it being a different actual situation. And Josh Hartnetts death was completely irrelevant. We KNEW Ben had to get with the chick --- she was like fifty years older than Josh. [sighs]
Sunday i went to church (as per usual) met some people, and had great fun. Came home, socialized and did little. Monday however we went on the Midlands Meander, which is this collection of shops that are all artsy and independant. Of course, one has to drive...so we were awake and gone by 8:30. Was nice. We stopped at Gunthers for lunch -- and i had beer and sausage (a truly German experience). You know, beer isn't THAT bad. As long as it's light...and if you want to take the edge off of it, add some Sprite. seriously. It works. But yes. I was a Canadian, Having a German experience in South Africa. The absurdity made me laugh.
I now own lavender body lotion. Made from all natural stuff. I'm sure I'll find a use for it. [cough cough cough] XD And if I don't I'll give it to Ligwa, who will undoubtably use it. XD I feel sooooo weird today. my desk is the oasis of junk food. I love it. I'm going to come home FAT.
Anyhow. Yesterday I went into the Valley...which is where the absolute poverty is. I learned a lot about hope. but I don't feel like going into it. Not yet, at least. :D
And so...it'll be exactly one month on monday until I'm home! YES!
