Overrated, underrated, whatever. Who knows?
Went to see the DaVinci Code last night. I liked it. I liked it a lot better than the book (which doesn't say much). To me, it's perfect because it is exactly what the book was: plot driven, high speed chases and very little character development. The book was more of a movie than it was a book -- the only thing you get in the book that you don't in the film is a tad more history. Or "fact", depending on who you're talking to.

All in all, who cares what it says? It's a thought provoking concept-true or not- and should stimulate some interesting discourse. And if you can't have a dialogue on faith? I would imagine one word would fit: stagnant.

There's just no way I can't help but love Sir Ian. Plus I have yet to see a Tom Hanks movie I didn't like (that wasn't ruined by Meg Ryan). Aaaand Ron Howard hasn't let me down an awful lot, so all in all, I liked the movie (despite its idiot bits).

ps. insert fan bit about Audrey Tautou here. blahblahblah.

I enjoyed it. I was surprised that I enjoyed it. But the only reason I did (I think) was because I didn't know what was coming - if I had read the book I think I would have been bored to tears.

Did you notice the brazier that the French girl was wearing? She was running like all the time, and no movement whatsoever. I was impressed.

Clever story. Completely fictional, but entertaining.
