So, thought: in The Last Renaissance it says that "...thus did man become the Architect of his own demise." So, assuming that all symbolism/subtlety was intended...Architect is what they call the guy who runs the Matrix, right? Could there be some connection? Perhaps...some very subtle foreshadowing? Will The Architect who created the Matrix be destroyed by it? Hmm...i suppose i have to wait for the next movie....And i also liked the symblosim of the Rider of the Apocolypse..who was a machine. Very striking image. Another thought: So, mankind threw out the machines the first two 'ambassadors' who were obviously a symbol f Adam and Eve - even with the apple. BUT. The downfall of man was the apple or 'the forbidden fruit'. So is it possible that what the director is saying that regardless of what happened - whether they rejected or accepted them - it would have been the fall of mankind anyways? That it didn't matter?
